Compassion Focused Therapy Therapy in Farnham Surrey by Anna Kenyon
Compassion focused therapy (CFT) is a relatively new trans-diagnostic approach which is increasingly recognised as an effective method in treating a range of mental health conditions.
CFT aims to promote mental and emotional well-being through developing skills in self-compassion and compassion towards others. These skills include compassionate reasoning and behaviour, and compassionate imagery, feeling and sensation. It is particularly effective for people who experience high levels of shame and self-criticism, attributes which underlie a wide range of mental health conditions. CFT at The Psychology Clinic is integrated within a broader approach and utilised alongside other therapeutic techniques.
